Qualifications
- Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP)
- Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certification program such as an associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, bachelor’s degree desired
- Certification from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) or National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA)
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
- 3-5 years of Florida Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice litigation experience
- Proficient with computers, software, and programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), Adobe, Dropbox, etc.
- Experience with Filevine preferred. Will train.
Responsibilities
- Order, review, organize, and summarize medical records, prepare chronologies and timelines, analyze case merit and identify standard of care, causation, and damage issues
- Research, identify, interview, and communicate with expert witnesses
- Conduct medical and legal research
- Draft letters and e-mails
- Draft pre-suit documents including Notice of Intent, Expert Affidavits, Informal Discovery, Responses to Informal Discovery,
- Draft litigation documents including pleadings, discovery, discovery responses, subpoenas, deposition notices, orders, exhibit lists, expert and witness lists, etc., under the supervision of a lawyer
- Assist lawyers with preparation for depositions, mediation, and trial

Compensation
$68,000-$77,000 yearly
